Bend Children's Festival presented by Sun Mountain Fun Center is coming to Drake Park!

 

Our community-driven event benefiting Desert Sky Montessori is packed with kid-friendly fun, including games, grub, and high-energy entertainment to spark creativity and joy for all ages.

Admission is FREE. Certain activities require tickets ($1–$5).

Get advance tickets here for Rock, Paper, Scissors tournament entries ($10) and all-day jump passes ($15).

Bring the whole family and join us for:

  • Bend's largest Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament with lots of amazing prizes for all ages

  • Inflatable playground with multiple bounce houses and double slide

  • Parkour obstacle course with Abstract In Motion

  • Fun interactive activity with Wildheart Nature School

  • Face painting with Out of the Box Arts

  • DJ, fairy hair, temporary tattoos, lawn games, kids' marketplace booths

Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament

Who will take home our amazing prizes this year? This beloved tradition began with Desert Sky Montessori's first children's festival nine years ago and has gotten bigger and better!

Our fabulous tournament prizes include a family float from Sunriver Toyhouse Toys; jump passes from Trampoline Zone; virtual reality party from Sunriver Virtual Reality; gear from Bolder Play, Wild Republic, Freckles Creative Club, and Tumbleweed Toys; gift cards from El Sancho, Laughing Planet, and Life and Thyme; and more.

We'll have 4 tournaments open to adults and kids. Entry fee for all tournaments is $10. Pre-event entry is preferred. Buy your tournament entries below!

We'll have delicious Mexican food from Don Goyos, Little Fox Cotton Candy, Queens of Kettle Corn, and Manuka Mana's famous adaptogenic mushroom soft-serve. (You've got to try it if you haven't!)

Location & Parking

Located in iconic Drake Park, head downtown and you can't miss us! There's plenty of room to spread out with a picnic blanket or chair to enjoy the festivities.

Parking is available throughout downtown. For the smoothest experience, please consider parking on the other side of the river by Highland Elementary and walk over the bridge to join us.

We are growing the Children's Festival and looking for people and organizations to be a part of this annual community event with us.

 

VENDORS

Calling all vendors who would like a space to share their goods! We are offering FREE vendor spaces, but ask that each vendor have an interactive activity for the kids to do when they visit your space. 

 

ARTISTS

We're offering space for artists who would like to sell their art, create their art on site, or have an art activity for the attendees.

PERFORMERS

We have room on the main stage and throughout the event to host mini-performances to showcase your talents.

Proceeds from the event directly support Desert Sky Montessori. Our mission is to give every child in Central Oregon access to a high-quality, tuition-free Montessori education from Kindergarten through 6th Grade.

Is this a free event?

Yes, Bend Children's Festival is free and open to the public! Certain attractions may require a fee to participate, including our inflatable playground ($15 for an all-day jump pass) and Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament entries ($10 for adults and kids).

 

We strive to make this event as inclusive as we can, thanks to the generous support of our sponsors.

You can buy advance tickets online to avoid lines at the festival.

What kind of attractions can we expect?

At Bend Children's Festival you'll find a kids' fun zone with bounce houses and double slide, parkour obstacle course, fun interactive activities, lawn games, fairy hair, face painting, silent auctions and raffles, music, vendor booths, and more.

 

We'll also host our annual Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament at the festival for some fierce and friendly competition with amazing prizes for all ages.

 

This year's event will be our biggest one yet, so expect more fun for the whole family!

What should we bring with us?

We recommend bringing small chairs or picnic blankets if you want to lounge on the grass.

 

We'll have activities, sweet treats, and food trucks stationed throughout the festival grounds and encourage you to support the small businesses at our event.

Yes! We'll have an area dedicated to the wonderful businesses and nonprofits in our community.
